Day 1... and it really begins

Happy New Year everyone!

Today was day 1 on my no grain in my foods.
It actually was a lot easier so far than I thought.
I had scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, 3 clementines and ham & bacon for brunch, and I was not hungry all day. Eating that at 12, and now being 6:13 and my dinner is cooking, steak, mixed veggies frozen in a steam bag, and a salad, with lettuce, baby spinach, cucumbers and some cubbed cheese and I will put a little bit of balsamic vinegar on it. I'm staying away from all the jar salad dressings as they have way too much sugar. I am actually hungry. Not starving, but hungry.

I am feeling really good today! Since I am on day 12 of my meds, I guess they are finally doing their job? That or my body is used to them now that the side effects aren't so bad today?? I don't know, either way, I'm happy to be feeling so much better.
I'm really Pumped up because it's the start of this new journey. I want to succeed so badly at this, that I can taste it! I'm probably going to be really obsessive about it for a few days. But tomorrow, since I'm off, I'm going to cut up all the peppers & onions & put them into little bags, this way, I can grab & throw in the skillet (or my Pampered Chef microwaveable stone pot that I have & LOVE IT) Let me just say, I have had that pot for about 1 1/2 -2 years, and never used it. Now, I use it all the time. It's easy and a one pot cooker! Gotta love that!!!
I drank a lot of water today, which is absolute key to any weight loss! I'm going to try to keep my caloric intake to 1200 calories or less. Today, I'm sure I had less than that. But that's ok! I've been busy!

Going to take my tree down tonight, and visit with my neighbor and maybe watch a movie with Lexi. If I get hungry later, I can snack on an apple, some clementines or a banana. Although, when I did LA Weightloss years ago, they told me to eat oranges before bed. that it did something to help speed up my metabolism. I have no idea how true that was, but when I was on LA Weightloss, I was very successful, while I was on it! I think I had lost 35 lbs in 3 months! I was on top of the world, then I met a guy, and that was it. 7 years and 75 lbs later, here I am! A major struggle, but I am going to succeed!
I have a company party in a few weeks. It's the 21st. I'm hoping I can be down a few lbs so that I will feel good when I put on my dress & my new shoes for my boyfriend. He has never seen me in a dress in person! We shall see, how it all goes.

Right now, my main goal is getting off grains, then slowly the sugar. First things first, grains are outta here! :)

FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!!
Hope you all have had a great first day into the New Year!
Remember, You can do this!!! If you slip, you can go right back to it with the next meal. Don't deprive yourself, if you want something, eat it, but just a small bite, or a small portion! If you don't, you will over indulge and then you will sabotage yourself!!

Godspeed!!!
Jenn
